Who/Why?
Who am I? I’m a person who grew up in a small town on a small farm who learned the importance of hard work, at a young age. I am also someone who floundered when entering the large university scene and switched to small community college life quickly. Then moved onto even smaller views with my massage institution. Academy of Natural Therapy is where I learned the art of massage, why it’s so important and the body as a whole. I dropped into massage purely by coincidence. I had a friend who needed a receptionist spot filled at a massage clinic and who’d have thought I would be here to today, a licensed massage therapist of four years.
Why do I massage? I think all massage therapists have one thing in common. And that’s the need to help. I need to help others and the form that takes is in helping with their aches and pains, learning comfort in their bodies, creating movement in soft tissues and adding peace and quiet to busy lives. I fell into this profession and I have found love in it along the way. I love what I do and I hope to use my working hands to help as many people as I can.
